Legend has it that Ernest Hemingway placed a bet that he could write a story in just six words. If the legend is true, then he won with "For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn." Now it is your turn!
The Homewood Public Library is challenging any 6th-12th grader in Jefferson County to write a story with just six words! Students can submit one original six word story. The contest is open from Thursday, February 1 through Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Winners will be announced the first week of March. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
