Join us as we learn to enhance our communication skills for work & life. Active listening, awareness of non-verbal cues, & the use of clear language are among the topics being covered.
Navigating generational differences in the workplace is not a new phenomenon, yet there are unique challenges experienced in the workplace today. There are times when we feel like we just aren't even speaking the same language as our colleagues. Working together across the digital divide, many people in the professional world find themselves frustrated and misunderstood as they try to navigate these uncharted waters. In this session, Dr. Ashley George, Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Samford University, will present trends in research to unveil some of the mystery behind generational communication patterns and will equip participants with tools to work together across differences.
