Join us as we learn to enhance our communication skills for work & life. Active listening, awareness of non-verbal cues, & the use of clear language are among the topics being covered.
Small talk can often be a dreaded part of our everyday lives, but we know that there are situations where it's necessary. How can we enter into the practice of small talk with authenticity? How can we ask interesting questions? How can we make meaningful connections? In this teaching session, Dr. Ashley George, Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Samford University, will introduce participants to the science of small talk and strategies to approach it with less apprehension and more joy.
