Birmingham-based Southern Research is a leading contract research organization dedicated to solving complex scientific challenges and translating innovative ideas into practical, life-changing solutions. Their Catalyst program is a groundbreaking statewide initiative aimed at improving health outcomes across Alabama. Launched in October 2024, Catalyst offers free genetic testing and personalized health insights to all residents. By integrating genomic data with clinical care, Catalyst empowers individuals and healthcare providers to make informed decisions, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and everyday healthcare. Attendees will be able to have genetic testing done at the end of the presentation.
