Virtual Meeting Terms and Conditions

Registration Information. You may be required to provide information about yourself in order to register for and/or use our virtual services. You agree that any such information shall be accurate. You may also be asked to choose a username and password. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the security of your username and password and agree not to disclose such to any third party. You agree that you are using your correct personal information to identify you as the user.

Eligibility. You affirm that you are of legal age and are otherwise fully able and competent to enter into these terms and conditions. Although Homewood Public Library (HPL) cannot absolutely control whether minors gain unauthorized access to our virtual services, access may be terminated without warning if we believe that you are underage or otherwise ineligible

Your Content. You agree that you are solely responsible for the content sent or transmitted by you or displayed or uploaded by you when using our virtual services. In addition, you agree to comply with all laws pertaining to the content of our virtual services, including any laws requiring you to obtain the consent of a third party to use the content and to provide appropriate notices of third party rights. You represent and warrant that you have the right to upload the content you use to HPL and that such use does not violate or infringe on any rights of any third party. Under no circumstances will HPL be liable in any way for (a) any content that is transmitted or viewed while using our virtual services, (b) errors or omissions in the content, or (c) any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of, access to, or denial of access to content. Although HPL is not responsible for any content, the Library may delete any content at any time without notice to you, if HPL becomes aware that it violates any provision of these terms and conditions, or any law. If you share the content using other software systems, like Facebook or Google, HPL has no responsibility for confidentiality of the content.

Recordings. From time to time HPL meetings and webinars may be recorded through Zoom Video Services. These recordings may include any and all comments or questions made by you and other attendees in chat or spoken during the event as well as the visual recording of all attendees. By attending HPL’s virtual services, you are consenting that all recordings may be stored and shared online for any or all HPL meetings or webinars that you join. You will receive a notification (visual or otherwise) when recording is enabled. If you do not consent to being recorded, you can choose to leave the meeting or webinar at that time.

Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless HPL, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, etc. from any and all third party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of our virtual services,

Copyright. You may not post, modify, distribute, or reproduce in any way copyrighted material, trademarks, rights of publicity or other proprietary rights without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such proprietary rights. HPL may deny access to the virtual services to anyone who is alleged to infringe another party’s copyright.

Privacy. Use of virtual services is also subject to HPL’s Privacy Policy, a link to which is located at the footer on HPL’s website.
