Join us on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. for discussions that entertain and grow your mind. Great books and satisfying discussions await you.
Join us as we explore Kirsten Miller’s Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books. Lula Dean has started a committee to take the banned books out of the libraries in the little town of Troy. She installs a little free library in her yard and stocks it with good, wholesome books. Someone has taken the dust covers off the books and swapped them for the banned books. The people who read these books start an awakening in the town. Each banned book seems to find the right person at the right time. A woman finds the courage to out her rapist. A deflated mailman finds his joy in life again. A brother and mom understand their gay family member better. Fantastic read!
